SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Sharing)

Sedex; (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) is a non-profit organization that supports the development of ethical business practices created by buyers aiming at the continuous development of companies that form supply chains on ethical issues. Sedex audits are carried out unannounced by 3rd Party approved audit firms using the SMETA methodology.
Most of the companies that accept the ETI Ethical Trading Initiative accept Sedex. By becoming a member of Sedex, companies from all over the world have the right to use the common database, take part in working groups and decisions, and communicate with other Sedex members. It is a Social Compliance Audit Certificate given to companies covering health and safety, management systems, discrimination, payments and personal rights, subcontracted labor / supply chain, human rights and supply chain management.

 

BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initative )

It is a European Ethical resource-using social monitoring system, which means "Business Social Compliance Initiative" in our language.
It was created to improve the working conditions of institutions within the worldwide supply production chain and to respond to open job and production demands. It monitors how well the countries where production or supply companies are located comply with the social conditions and encourages the continuous improvement of the social performance of suppliers. BSCI, which means "Business Social Compliance Initiative" in our language, is a European Ethical sourcing social monitoring system. It is located within the worldwide supply production chain. It was created to improve the working conditions of institutions and to respond to open business and production demands. A Social Compliance Audit given to companies covering legal compliance, working hours, prevention of child labor, forced labor, freedom of association, discrimination, workplace health and safety, social compliance management systems, environment, fair pricing, suppliers, contractors and subcontractors, employee rights and responsibilities. It aims to promote humane working conditions in the garment industry. Clothes destined for the Dutch European market are generally produced in low-wage countries. Often these cheap clothes are produced under unacceptable working conditions. FWF operates with a Code of Business Practices for the Apparel Industry. Member companies accept this code of conduct. Thus, they agree to monitor the working conditions in their factories in terms of the provisions of the code of conduct and to make improvements where necessary.
